Art Classes Brisbane has been in operation for 10 years. It is a small business, owned and operated by myself(Debra Pickering) and my husband Greg Pickering. My background in art started 30 years ago when I graduated from Griffith University as a Graphic Designer. After working for 15 years as a Graphic Designer and using many mediums to complete work for clients I now draw on these skills to teach art students what I know. I have also drawn and painted for 30 years, exhibiting and selling paintings around Queensland. Greg is my right hand man and helps with all the behind the scene jobs.
That’s simple, because we care!
I love what I do, I love seeing a student arrive who feels nervous and intimidated (about what is to come) and by the time they have finished their first lesson they are feeling relaxed and happy and on top of it.
Quite simply, if a student is not happy I will do my best to overcome any problem they may be experiencing. My goal is for every student to exceed their creative desires!! When a student leaves they have a wealth of knowledge and a lot of happy, feel good, memories.
